I was in the post office one day on Washington Ave in South Beach. Roxy appeared in line behind me with two of her friends. I glanced her way and was immediately struck by her hair. And then her eyes. And then her overall look. Instantly, I thought pinup.
She and her friends left the post office before me and when I got outside I saw them walking toward the beach. I hopped on my scooter, chased her down. I gave her my card, told her to look at my work, and if she wanted to set up a shoot, that would be just perfect. Not long after, I got an email from Roxy and we scheduled a shoot.
Of course, we didn’t shoot pinup at all and instead did a very South-Beach-in-the-background type of shoot. Beautiful girl and incredibly cool. Her AND her friends. A true pleasure. I only wish we could’ve shot more.
