Statue, tail, and a tale.

This is one of those shots that I almost love entirely. When I saw it onscreen, I thought, “Wow. Winner.” And then I went into post-process mode. And then when I was finished with it, I looked again.

How it escaped me that it looks as though Angela has some sort of devilish tail coming out of her bum is beyond me. It’s like the rabbit ears* problem that I learned early on to avoid. Only, as far as I know, this is the first time I’ve done this, so I’m okay with it. And honestly, I pretty much still love the photo.

*Rabbit ears occur when taking a portrait of a model laying on her stomach while she has her knees bent and feet up in the air, most likely with legs crossed. From the wrong angle, the feet can give the impression of rabbit ears sticking out of the model’s head. Sometimes it IS cute like in this shot of Madison), but often it’s something I try to avoid.
