Renna is, hands down, one of my most favoritest people on the planet. And I’m so lucky that our paths have crossed. And how did we meet?
Renna bribed me with Nesquik. She sent me an excited email in December of 2008, promising me Nesquik if I would shoot her. How could I possibly say no? And why on earth would I? And when she showed up for our first shoot in January of 2009, she delivered exactly as promised.
My god, I heart Renna. Instantly, we hit it off. You know how you meet people and you instantly relate to them? That was Renna. As a young and ridiculously beautiful adult starlet, Renna was already exceedingly comfortable in front of the camera and was an impressive photographer in her own right.
That first shoot was phenomenal. In a little under two hours, we shot one of my favorite shoots to date: Construction Time Again. And we had an absolute blast doing it. So fun, so perky, such a smile, such sweetness, so smart, soooo beautiful… sooooo….. you just want to squeeze her!
Renna and I shot a few more times (some with Ava) before I left for my trip across the country. When I returned to South Beach, we worked together for a short time shooting photos and video for her site, RennaRyann.com (NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!). Even though I note that it’s not safe for work, if you have not been there, I strongly encourage you to visit.
After a long hiatus from shooting together, we got together not long ago for our first shoot in ages. It’s difficult to coordinate our schedules but I am soooooo very much looking forward to us shooting together more in the future. Great girl with an absolutely beautiful soul.
